Nevermind The Hazatsu

Yup, the title above is the name of our band. But hold on there, i am not gonna go to all the trouble of writing about how and why we came out with that name. Let's just leave it at that for the moment. Then again, i kinda like that name. :-)

I think its about time i announce the band's current line up:

Ouh lil GrommitNevermind the Hazatsu
M : vocal
Jon: Bass guitar
Wynn: Rhythm guitar, Vocal
Farid: Drums
Izzy: Lead guitar, vocal

hmmm, lame.......

Anyway, we haven't got that much time to get together for our ritual jamming session that often nowadays. yeah everybody seems to be busy with work and everything. Really annoying. I can't stand it. My hands are shaking in anticipation for our next session. Can't wait (though i dont know when that'll be).

Like i said in the previous post, we managed to record some of our original materials. And i think i've just got enough free time to upload one song and share it with the world here. Check it out below and please drop in some feedback, really appreciate that. Ouh, the song is called 'Break Myself'. Enjoy..

Wanna share another picture. Edited by Jon. Its a picture of me and my flatmates. All 8 of them. Yup, you heard me, there are 9 of us living under one roof: 15 Wilkinson Street. But its not too bad really, there's plenty of space in the house. And it has 7 rooms altogether. Btw, some of them are at home on weekends only. So the house is never too crowded or anything.

Been a long time again ay chap?

Yes, as usual, my excuse for a late update is "i've been busy with school and stuff". Yeah. But i know i need to really give more time for this blogging thing, i mean i do enjoy it, and it really sooth out the stress away from my rib cage, well, to some level of course.

Anyhow, i would like to really thank those of you who visited this blog since my last entry. I'd never figure that anybody would actually spend time reading this thing once and then come again at later time expecting an update, which never really happen that often. (well i do promote this site a lot, :P LOL)

Some ppl have been inquiring a lot about more of our band's songs, esp after "acquiring" the so called complete studio-quality-recording equipment and all. To be honest, we don't really have too much time for recording too, although we manage to record a few songs so far. But then again, i'll try to share the songs as soon as possible. Really soon. I promise.

Just wanna share 2 snapshots of me at barry island, south wales. It is the only "beach" that i've been to during my whole 3 and a half years in UK. What a loser. Let this be a reminder for me to get out of Sheffield more often. So help me God......Hehe. Enjoy!!!

Locked and Loaded: Our own recording studio atlast..

Complete studioAfter months of waiting, we are now able to record all of our songs (most songs written by me!! haha!) in a studio quality recording. Yup, our first album is 9 months overdued (oopppss..) but hey, i guess it is worth the wait. I mean what's the purpose of recording songs that turn out crappy when u play it back right?; we need to have a proper recording equipment.

Studio rental aside, we opted to acquiring our own gadgets, and 2 days ago, after months of fund raising, we ordered a cool complete hardware/software recording studio equipment. And yesterday the package came, and we hurriedly tested it with a spontaneous song, yes the one that is playing below. Awesome sound ay? We merely record and did a bit of layering. God knows how good the sound can get after proper editing and mixing. But dont mind the song quality though, just the sound quality. And ehem, excuse the vocalist, we wasn't even singing lyrics. It was all mumblings and hummings.......

Ouh a blessed Ramadhan so far.......

The fruits of our labourIt's the 8th of Ramadhan today and so far our fasting month has been really great. The fact that we are all guys and that we live in UK, doesn't hinder our ability to produce some very savoury Malaysian dish and delicacies. We missed Malaysian food so much (particularly those sold at Pasar Ramadhan) that we worked hard to find the ingredients needed for our daily "buka puasa" meals. Some of the stuff that we've cooked so far:

1. Main dish- Ayam masak black pepper, Ikan bakar chilli asam, Nasi beriani johor, Mee Bandung Muar, Mee hoon and keuy teow goreng, Top-side Steak, Nasi Paprik, Telur bungkus patani and the list goes on....
2. Side dish and desserts - Jemput2 pisang, Po Piah, Manggo Lassi, Puddings and jellies, pengat pisang, bubur jagung, bubur pulut hitam, etc etc.........

But,...........

Food for the soul

Although it is true that during Ramadhan we are all blessed with rezeki, there are still some muslims in other parts of the world that are less fortunate than us. Almost every year, when Ramadhan comes, some groups of muslims suffer from war, natural disaster and starvation. So it is a test for us to take appropriate actions as muslims to help the less fortunate by offering sadakah and doa. Let us not be carried away by the wealth and well being that God has given us, but to use it for the benefit and well being of the whole muslim community and human race.

Approaching "The Day After Tomorrow" : T-minus 30 years....

Recently, global warming and its corresponding causes and effects have become a major discussion issue worldwide. It influence the earth's natural cycle, which affect human directly; Universities everywhere are racing each other in producing the latest forecast and papers, fights and debates amongts politicians have become more intense, and europeans have never enjoyed summer as much for the past 3 years.

Hurricane at its best "The Day After Tomorrow" is really going to be a reality afterall, with global warming left to be blamed for all the terrible natural disaster occuring for the past 3 years. We have almost reach the pinnacle of earth's sustainability towards global warming, where the melting of the north pole's glasiers has become an irreversible process. With the rise of sea level and temperature, hurricanes have become more frequent and fierce. But too bad the names given to them i.e. Katrina, Rita and Stan, do not convince us enough of their danger.

It is said that after 100 years, the entire north and south pole caps will melt away. But i bet we don't need to wait until then to witness the total climate change or whatever. If u ask me, i'll give our earth another 30-40 years before it unleash its wrath and madness towards mankind who are entirely responsible for global warming at the first place.

What's worse is that, some smart ass scientist forecasted that the Asian monsoon will be the first tipping point for climate change due to global warming. Funny that he mentioned that after the back to back hurricanes visited the America continent for the past few months. But i guess it'll be nice to have snow in Malaysia, assuming that is how the climate is going to change.

But believe it or not, man have never seize away from the desire to play god: cloning, deciding who lives and dies, The Sims games and now they intend to develope a Man Made Hurricane, well actually it has already been developed and available to the market. I particularly love the design and innovation. hehe.
